CBSE versus ICSE syllabus

Meaning of CBSE is Central Board of Secondary Education is called CBSE & ICSE means Indian Certificate for Secondary Education.

CBSE is one of the most popular school boards in India. The CBSE is preparing the syllabus for standard 9th to 12th, secondary and senior secondary level.

The syllabus of CBSE is better convenient than ICSE. While a board based syllabus in generally educational. it increases the load on students. A student should be give the option of studying only the basics of language. At CBSE English is not compulsory.

Benefits of CBSE Syllabus :

The CBSE board prepares the syllabus for students from pre-school playgroup to Class 12. The syllabus is set by National Council of Educational Research and Training.

The ICSE syllabus (Class X) is very hard compared to CBSE. ICSE has two papers inn English but CBSE has only one. Also in ICSE there are three papers in Science i.e. Physics, Chemistry & Biology but in CBSE has only one common.
The another thing in ICSE has two papers in Social Studies i.e History & Geography whereas CBSE has only one. The school bag of an ICSE student is much weighty that that of a CBSE student.

Benefits of ICSE Syllabus :

ICSE pattern in India is the best education pattern. The ICSE syllabus and methods are decided by the teachers. The students have so many choices in subjects and cann choose the books as per their choice. ICSE has more practical application and projects and also ICSE gives more freedom to students for development.

The main good feature of ICSE is if the student have choice to study at abroad in future then they have to choose ICSE but CBSE have no scope at abroad.

Comparison of ICSE syllabus with CBSE syllabus :

Indian Certificate for Secondary Education institution is simply great because it encouraged thinking and applied use of various subjects and scope with higher studies in college.

CBSE Schools and ICSE Schools :

Imortant function of CBSE is to conduct examinations based on the prescribed syllabus. It is a recognized board and its syllabus incorporates the national curriculum as well as additional subject matter.

CBSE have large number of schools all over India and the board allows regular candidates, who study in CBSE schools as well as private candidates from other schools can appear in the exams.

But ICSE does not allow a candidate who has not been studying in ICSE school.

CBSE or ICSE which is better to perform in competitive exams?

As per my experience, I am giving the vote to CBSE because the syllabus is based to promote thinking among the students and also the examination questions are not directly found in textbooks but are related to the syllabus.
The ICSE have lesser chance in popular collages since the entrance exams for these are based on CBSE syllabus and the students from CBSE can score higher than ICSE.

The most important thing of CBSE brings out the competitive and true knowledgeable scope in the students.
